Stepout Privacy Policy

Stepout ("the app") is made by Bals Digital ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your data when you use Stepout.

The short version

Stepout has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Your missions, streak, journal and settings are stored only on your device.

Data stored on your device

• Your name (optional), city and preferences
• Your daily missions, completions, moods and streak

This data never leaves your device through Stepout. It may be included in your device's own backups (iCloud or Google backup) if you have those enabled. You can delete it at any time via Settings → Reset all data, or by uninstalling the app.

Location

If you allow it, Stepout reads your approximate location to find your city, season and local sunset time. Turning coordinates into a city name uses your phone's built-in geocoding service (Apple or Google), which is subject to their privacy policies. We never receive or store your location. You can also type a city instead of granting permission.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to us.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We use RevenueCat to validate purchases and unlock Pro. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase history and basic device information needed to validate receipts. We do not receive your name, email or payment details. Children

Stepout is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data on our servers, most requests can be handled in the app (Reset all data). For questions about purchase records or any privacy request, contact us at the address below.

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
